Whats the cheapest way to turn cash into bitcoins?

I'm looking to turn a bunch of USD into BTC, and have been looking at various exchanges and services. BitInstant is super convenient (and anonymous), but between their fee and ZipZap's fee, its a little pricy. It looks like BitFloor is a pretty cheap way (deposit USD, buy BTC).

How do you like to turn cash into bitcoins?

How about the other way around?
