Questions from a newbie
Hello bitcoin people,
I've stumbled upon bitcoin a couple of days ago and have been reading up on them. It looks very interesting and i'm thinking about buying a couple bitcoins. I do have a couple of questions i hope you guys can help me with
.

How does the wallet work? I understand it holds some sort of private key connected to your money, but i dont understand how that works. How is the key connected to my money?
-
Is it possible for me to use one wallet on multiple computers?

As i understand it, normal currencies got their initial value from gold. This gave money an initial intrinsic value. This value has nothing to do with the current value of money ofcourse. Does bitcoin not need an initial intrinsic value? Or does it already have one?

i've downloaded a program to start with bitcoins (directly from bitcoin.com) and it had to download the entire history of blocks. It took my poor laptop about 14 hours to finish. As more blocks are mined, and more transactions done, download times (and memory) will increase. Won't this be a problem in the long run?
These are my questions for now. I hope you guys can help
